SpeechWise Ltd

• What they offer / teach

SpeechWise provides speech and language therapy for children and young people with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), including 1:1 tailored therapy aimed at improving comprehension, vocabulary, language and social communication. They offer private services for parents and carers, plus services for schools, colleges, care providers, local authorities and the NHS such as individual child support, whole setting support packages, and on-demand, live and bespoke training. They also publish resources, tools, tips and advice on areas of speech and language therapy.

• Ages served

The site states it works with children and young people throughout North West England, but does not give specific ages.

• Approach

They describe themselves as speech and language therapy experts who work in partnership with parents/carers and education, health and social care organisations. They believe addressing communication difficulties early on is critical so children can enjoy 'a life without barriers' and reach their full potential, and their therapy is tailored to the individual child. Articles on the site reference neurodiversity-affirming strategies, self-advocacy for neurodivergent people, and support for multilingual children.

• Admissions

Enquiries are made via an interactive tool on the website, described as the easiest way to enquire about services so they can build an initial understanding of the child or young person and their requirements; a separate sign-up form is for general updates only.
