Autism & ADHD Assessment Hub - Liverpool

• What they offer / teach

The Liverpool hub provides autism, ADHD and combined ASD/ADHD assessments for children and adults, delivered by HCPC registered clinicians using diagnostic tools compliant with NICE guidelines (including ADOS-2 for autism and QB screening technology for ADHD). The pathway runs through referral, initial consultation, diagnostic screening or observational assessment at clinic, clinical interview, report, feedback session and GP notification, with post-assessment support offered.

• Ages served

Assessments are offered to children and adults of all ages, with assessment potentially possible from age 4 for autism and age 6 for ADHD, though the provider says it will always advise on whether an assessment is appropriate.

• Approach

The team describes assessments as comprehensive, personalised and tailored to the individual's needs, using the latest diagnostic tools in line with gold standard NICE guidelines. At least one session is face to face (usually the ADOS-2 session for autism/combined assessments or the initial consultation for ADHD-only), with other sessions likely delivered remotely for flexibility.

• Admissions

No GP referral is needed as people can self-refer via the Make a Referral page, or get in touch by phone, email or contact form to discuss options. A first assessment appointment can currently be offered within 2-4 weeks of an initial screening.

• Cost

Autism assessments cost £2,095 and ADHD assessments cost £1,495, each including a £195 initial consultation fee. Flexible payment plans over 3, 6, 9 and 12 months are available; private health insurance funding is not accepted.
