NYCPS Autism Nest Program (ASD Nest)

• What they offer / teach

The Autism Nest Program is a specialized program in some NYC public District 1-32 schools, run as a partnership between NYCPS and NYU's Nest Support Project, serving autistic learners in small Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) classes alongside general education students with one special education and one general education teacher (no classroom paraprofessional). Classes follow the New York State Learning Standards and the same curriculum used in all DOE schools, plus a social language curriculum. Related service providers also deliver social-emotional support in small groups.
