The academy provides what it describes as a personalised, ambitious, specialist and challenging curriculum, with a strong emphasis on learning to communicate as a foundation for accessing the wider world, staying safe and growing towards independence. The page also references music being integrated throughout the curriculum and daily school life, careers provision, and events such as Jobs Week and reward activities.

• Ages served

The page does not state an age range, though it mentions a graduation for Year 6 pupils moving on to high school.

• Approach

The academy aims to be a safe, positive, nurturing and aspirational place offering "irresistible opportunities" to engage in learning, where pupils are given a voice and encouraged to be independent and participate actively in their education. Partnership is central: staff work closely with families, medical and non-medical professionals, Community Council Members and the wider community to meet pupils' holistic needs, and these voices shape curriculum development.
