The Heights Academy is a specialist school (part of Forward Education Trust) that opened in September 2023 for children with an Education, Health and Care Plan, with an educational approach tailored to those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. From September 2025 it uses a new approach to learning with three pathways (Adventurers, Explorers and Navigators) and an adapted curriculum for learners working at age-related expectations through to those with more barriers to learning. It is a designated choice by Solihull Local Authority for these learners.
The school is a specialist provision for children from 8 to 16 years old with an Education, Health and Care Plan.
The academy is a specialist provision led by Headteacher Lisa Walker and is working with a range of professionals and experts to help plan for improvement as the school grows towards 116 pupils. The site references a staff team, EHCP reviews, special educational needs information and multi-agency working, but no further staffing or SEN qualification detail is given in this page text.
The page text does not describe a booking process; it mentions information for prospective parents and that the Headteacher looks forward to meeting prospective pupils and parents, and the site has a Contact and Joining the School section.
