Bristol Community Link North

• What they offer

BCL North is a Bristol City Council day centre offering grounds, gardens and outdoor space, a skills kitchen, a sensory room, a conservatory, a cafe, free wifi, and music, art and craft skills. Day support includes meeting people, activities such as games, crafts and entertainment, learning new skills, employment training information and support to go out into the local community. The sensory room uses light, sound, texture, bubble tubes and colours to create a relaxing or stimulating multi-sensory environment, and rooms are also available for hire by local groups.

• Ages served

The page describes services for older people and adults (including adults with dementia, a learning difficulty, or physical and sensory impairments); it states the sensory rooms help adults and children with autism, dementia and complex neurological disabilities, but no specific ages are given.

• SEN support & staffing

A trained member of staff can help you make a day support plan, which may use words, pictures, video or a mixture. BCL also provides support and advice to carers, and Links Connect staff help adults with a learning difficulty through small groups, individual meetings, phone or video call.
